Practise NLP. Everyone’s welcome. NLP (Master) practitioners and practitioners of Ericksonian hypnosis can practise with people they know and people they don’t know. Guests who have no knowledge of NLP or Ericksonian hypnosis can check it out at RaVisie.

Are you considering following an NLP or Ericksonian hypnosis course at RaVisie and would you like to get to know RaVisie, or would you just like to simply have a look or hear what it is all about or talk to some NLP people? Then feel free to visit an NLP Practice and Introduction day.

You’ll have the possibility to pose your questions about NLP, the courses offered by RaVisie, to practice with and without supervision and to talk to NLP (Master) Practitioners about NLP and their experiences.

Feel free to talk with us one-on-one during lunch or coffee breaks – sometimes we’ll be sitting in the kitchen : -). Just tell us what it is that you want. We’ll go into the things you still find ‘challenging’, we’ll demonstrate exercises and we’ll supervise you as you practise.

The days are very animated and fun and, of course, we’ll end the day in our ‘usual style’.

Established in 1978, the Society of Neuro-Linguistic Programming™ is a worldwide organisation set up for the purpose of exerting quality control over those training programs and services claiming to represent the model of Neuro-Linguistic Programming™ (NLP™). The seals above indicates Society Certification and is usually advertised by Society of NLP approved institutes and centers. We highly recommend that you exercise caution as you apply the techniques and skills of NLP™. We also urge you to attend only those seminars, workshops and training programs that have been officially designed and certified by The Society of Neuro-Linguistic Programming™. Any training programs that have been approved and endorsed by The Society of Neuro-Linguistic Programming™ will display a copy of the certification mark(s) of the Society of Neuro-Linguistic Programming™.

The President of the Society is John La Valle. Those who train with Society approved trainers are required to sign a license agreement in completing a Practitioner, Business or Master Practitioner training. The license agreement is simply a way of protecting yourself, NLP and Dr Bandler. It stipulates that you will not go out and claim you are an NLP trainer after doing one or two courses. It maintains the integrity of the field and ensures that you will only start representing yourself as a NLP trainer when you are appropriately licensed.

If you complete an NLP Practitioner or Master Practitioner training with RaVisie, you will be automatically presented to Richard Bandler and the Society of NLP for their certification. Once approved you will become a member of the Society of NLP for two years. After that you keep up your certification by simply contacting the Society of NLP website. Certification costs initially are $200 and are included in your course fee. Certification renewal every two years is free.

1. Conditions for Training RaVisie

These conditions for training are based upon the General Terms and Conditions, lodged at the Chamber of Commerce in Utrecht under registration number GV 5357 and are also posted on the website of RaVisie and they are valid for all RaVisie training courses, education, workshops, courses and such.

2. Registration

The registration for training is through a registration form.

After receipt of the registration RaVisie will send a written confirmation of the registration together with the invoice.

After the down payment the registration is definite (see the correct down payment amount for each training course/education).

To ensure the quality of the training course as well as the result, RaVisie reserves the right to refuse registration of a participant.

By signing the registration form or by filling in and submitting the registration form on line, the participant demonstrates that he/she has read and agrees to the RaVisie terms and conditions.

3. Participant Fees

1. The participant fees should be transferred at least one month before the start date of the training course. Upon receipt of payment your registration is made definite.
2. If payment is not timely, RaVisie reserves the right to refuse the participant’s entry to the training course, and retains the right to claim full or partial payment of the fees.
3. In default of payment all costs such as loss of interest, collection charges and legal costs are for the participant.

4. Cancellation

1. Written cancellation is possible via a letter with proof of receipt, or per email which is confirmed as having been received by RaVisie.
2. For cancellation up to 31 days before the start of the course, administration costs will apply (= down payment amount).
3. In the case of cancellation less than 31 calendar days before or after the start of the course, the entire participation costs will be due.
4. Where a participant cancels in advance, the participant has the right to provide a replacement by somebody who meets the entry criteria. This replacement is valid for the entire training.
5. In the case of force majeure, e.g. sickness, death of a relative, RaVisie may decide to retain participation costs and provide the opportunity for a participant to receive the training at another time.

5. Intellectual Property

1. RaVisie reserves proprietary rights on the basis of the Copyright law.
2. All material issued by RaVisie, such as brochures, training material, handbooks, sheets, syllabi’s, and any other written materials used in the training courses, are for the exclusive use of the participant and may not be copied, published or shared with third parties, unless with the advance permission of RaVisie.
3. It is not allowed to make sound recordings during the training.
4. It is only permitted to make film/photo recordings during a training at times agreed upon.

6. Liability

1. RaVisie is only liable for damage results from neglect on the part of RaVisie, if:
2. The damage is resulting from deliberate or gross negligence on the part of RaVisie.
3. RaVisie is insured for these risks under normal conditions (not being the result of deliberate and/or gross negligence) or can be expected to have insured these for risks, under normal conditions.
4. RaVisie’s liability, in as far as liability insurance covers such incidents, extends to the amount of the payout from the insurance company.
5. RaVisie’s liability, in the case of indirect damage, or damage/injury as a result of damage, profit missed , missed economies and damage through company stagnation, is excluded.
6. RaVisie is by no means liable for what a participant does with knowledge obtained during the training/education course.

7. Changes

1. RaVisie reserves the right to cancel a training before the start date. In the case of a course being canceled by RaVisie then full course fees will be repaid to participants.
2. In the case of lessons missed (due to absenteeism) no refund will be made. Where possible within the program a participant will be provided with an opportunity to catch up with lessons/modules. It is desirable that participants make it known that they will not be present, either by telephone or by letter/email, before the start date of the training.

8. General

1. Complaints may be addressed to RaVisie by letter. Any differences which may result from this complaints procedure are subject to Dutch Law.

Accessing Cues

Subtle behaviors that will both help to trigger and indicate which representational system a person is using to think with. Typical types of accessing cues include eye movements, voice tone, tempo, body posture, gestures, and breathing patterns.

Anchoring

The process of associating an internal response with some external trigger (similar to classical conditioning) so that the response may be quickly, and sometimes covertly, reaccessed.

Auditory

Relating to hearing or the sense of hearing.

Behaviour

The specific physical actions and reactions through which we interact with the people and environment around us.

Behavioural Flexibility

The ability to vary one’s own behavior in order to elicit or secure a response from another person.

Calibration

The process of learning to read another person’s unconscious, nonverbal responses in an ongoing interaction by pairing observable behavioral cues with a specific internal response.

Calibrated Loop

Unconscious pattern of communication in behavioral cues of one person trigger specific responses from another person in an ongoing interaction.

Chunking

Organizing or breaking down some experience into bigger or smaller pieces. Chunking up involves moving to a larger, more abstract level of information. Chunking down involves moving to a more specific and concrete level of information. Chunking laterally involves finding other examples at the same level of information.

Congruence

When all of a person’s internal beliefs, strategies, and behaviors are fully in agreement and oriented toward securing a desired outcome.

Context

The framework surrounding a particular event. This framework will often determine how a particular experience or event is interpreted.

Criteria

The values or standards a person uses to make decisions and judgments.

Deep Structure

The sensory maps (both conscious and unconscious) that people use to organize and guide their behavior.

Four Tuple (or 4-tuple)

A method used to notate the structure of any particular experience. The concept of the four tuple maintains that any experience must be composed of some combination of the four primary representational classes – A,V,K,O – where A=Auditory, V=Visual, K=Kinesthetic, and O=Olfactory/Gustatory.

Future Pacing

The process of mentally rehearsing oneself through some future situation in order to help ensure that the desired behavior will occur naturally and automatically.

Gustatory

Relating to the sense of taste.

Installation

The process of facilitating the acquisition of a new strategy or behavior. A new strategy may be installed through any of the NLP™ skills or techniques and/or combination thereof.

Kinesthetic

Relating to body sensations. In NLP™ the term kinesthetic is used to encompass all kinds of feelings including tactile, visceral, and emotional.

Meta Model™

A model developed by John Grinder and Richard Bandler that identifies categories of language patterns that can be problematic or ambiguous. The Milton Model is the other side of this

Meta Program

A process by which one sorts through multiple generalizations simultaneously as such Meta Programs control how and when. A person will engage in any set of strategies in a given context.

Metaphor

Stories, parables and analogies.

Modeling

The act of creating a calculus which describes a given system.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming™ (NLP™)

The study of the structure of subjective experience and what can be calculated from that.

Olfactory

Relating to smell or the sense of smell.

Outcomes

Goals or desired states that a person or organization aspires to achieve.

Overlapping

Connecting Representational systems by going from one to another and another, etc.

Pacing

A method used by communicators to quickly establish rapport by matching certain aspects of their behavior to those of the person with whom they are communicating – matching or mirroring of behavior.

Parts

A metaphorical way of talking about independent programs and strategies of behavior.

Predicates

Process words (like verbs, adverbs, and adjectives) that a person selects to describe a subject. Predicates are used in NLP™ to identify which representational system a person is using to process information.

Rapport

The presence of trust, harmony, and cooperation in a relationship.

Representational Systems

The five senses: seeing, hearing, touching (feeling), smelling and tasting.

Representational System Primacy

The systematic use of one sense over the others to process and organize in a given context.

Secondary Gain

Where some seemingly negative or problematic behavior actually carries out some positive function at some other level. For example, smoking may help a person to relax or help them fit a particular self-image.

State

The total ongoing mental and physical conditions from which a person is acting.

Strategy

A set of explicit mental and behavioral steps used to achieve a specific outcome.

Sub-Modalities

The special sensory qualities perceived by each of the five senses. For example, visual sub-modalities include color, shape, movement, brightness, depth, etc., auditory submodalities include volume, pitch, tempo, etc., and kinesthetic sub-modalities include pressure, temperature, texture, location, etc.

Surface Structure

An utterance.

Synesthesia

The process of overlap between representational systems, characterized by phenomena like see-feel circuits, in which a person derives feelings from what they see, and hear-feel circuits, in which a person gets feelings from what they hear. Any two sensory modalities may be linked together.

T.O.T.E.

Developed by Miller, Galanter and Pibram, the term stands for the sequence Test-Operate-Test-Exit, which describes the basic feedback loop used to guide all behavior.

Transderivational Search

The act of locating through meaning(s) which may not be explicit or implicit in a surface structure.

Translating

Connecting the meaning of one representation to the same meaning in another representation.

Visual

Relating to sight or the sense of sight.

Well-Formedness Conditions

In NLP™, a particular outcome is well-formed when it is: (1) stated in positives, (2) initiated and maintained by the individual, (3) ecological – maintains the quality of all rapport systems, and (4) testable in experience – sensory based.

1. The ability to change the process by which we experience reality is more often valuable than changing the content of our experience of reality.
2. The meaning of the communication is the response you get.
3. All distinctions human beings are able to make concerning our environment and our behavior can be usefully represented through the visual, auditory, kinesthetic, olfactory, and gustatory senses.
4. The resources individuals need in order to effect a change are already within them.
